Hi! My name is Ahseom Chi and it sounds like awesome
I’m from Seoul, South Korea, and currently studying Motion Media Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Atlanta.
My journey as a visual communicator began in 2018 when I immersed myself in painting, leading to my first exhibition, "For the Untouchable Texture." Through this work, I explored the sensory and emotional depth of surfaces, questioning how we perceive texture beyond the physical.
For years, I experimented with color, composition, and form, but something always felt missing. I realized what I had been searching for all along—movement and motion. That realization led me to a major shift in Fall 2024, transitioning from Painting to Motion Media Design.
Right now, I’m embracing this transformation, diving into 2D motion design and exploring new ways to bring ideas to life as a designer. It’s a massive change, but an exciting one. Every day, I’m learning how to make thoughtful design decisions in the dynamic world of motion design.
This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
